Many women are fearing the pain of childbirth. Scary stories galore. Luckily we live in the 21st century. Adequate pain relief is available everywhere. Women who are well supported often have less need for analgesia. Changing position, massage, a hot shower or bath are often helpful. But no one will hold it against you if you want something stronger for the pain. Your midwife or obstetrician will inform you about the possibilities.
